Vision for the future

For decades, the Zeiterion has been a vibrant hub where countless memories have been made. Just as we are transforming the century-old building into a beacon for creative expression, we are embarking on a bold and ambitious journey to transform the way we work.

It has been a privilege to share the story of the building’s renovation with you over the last year or so. Today, we are excited to tell you the story of the Zeiterion’s next evolution, as an organization that will continue to serve this community for the next 100 years. Here’s what you can expect:

This place is our purpose.
We are committed to activating our historic home as a dynamic civic and cultural hub. You have entrusted us to care for this beautiful space and bring it to life. We carry that responsibility with pride. When we reopen, we’ll swing our doors open wide, inviting the public into a living, breathing space for connection, dialogue, and shared experience.  

This is your Zeiterion.
It is vital that the stories that reflect this community are told here. We are reimagining our programming so that it centers a wide array of voices and lived experiences, creating space for learning, artistic expression, and storytelling that resonates across generations. We are embracing creativity as a tool for equity and engagement, sparking meaningful participation and a deeper sense of belonging for all.

As we move into the future, we will grow with intention and a deep commitment to justice, collaboration, and reciprocity. By nurturing an inclusive, learning-focused culture and building a resilient and sustainable business model, we will create a thriving organization.
