The Bar and Concessions Staff provide a genial and proficient patron experience while serving beverages and snacks during performances. Their main duties include assisting the bar manager in setting up and breaking down the bar and concession inventory on show days/nights, serving patrons while creating an inviting patron experience and ensuring accuracy on all cash handling procedures. They should possess a strong interest and knowledge of spirits, cocktails, craft beers and wine.
Box Office Associates are often the first touchpoint for guests of our venue, making them a critical member of our guest relations team. They answer emails, take phone calls, and handle in person conversations to help the public purchase tickets to events and resolve customer service issues. The successful candidate will help The Z meet organizational sales and membership goals while providing efficient, courteous and accurate customer-service. The Box Office Associate plays a key role as the first point of contact for all visitors and callers and therefore must uphold the highest quality of customer care at all times.
Event security guards provide protection and aid for attendees at events like conferences and concerts. As a guard, you may patrol the perimeter of the venue with a perceiving eye to protect attendees and prevent unauthorized people from getting inside. You will also provide crowd safety control services inside the venue. Event security guards are typically paid per event and don’t work standard full- or part-time hours. They follow a chain of command and usually have a direct supervisor overseeing the entire event to whom they report.
The Event Security Team Leader is responsible for supervising the Security Team Members before, during and after an event, until all patrons have exited the venue. The Team Leader sets the tone for the team, and in keeping with The Z’s values, leads with honesty, integrity, and equity. The Team leader approaches all events strategically and with care. The Event Security Team Leader is a skilled leader, acts as a goodwill ambassador, and is an expert problem solver, trained in first aid, crisis management, and emergency evacuation.
The Zeiterion’s Development Coordinator helps to advance the mission of the organization by providing excellent and energetic fundraising support to the Development team. This part-time staff person reports to the Senior Director of Development and supports the Development Manager.
The Z’s Facility Custodian maintains the cleanliness and order of our facility both indoor and out, including but not limited to administrative offices, front of house and back of house. The position also provides pre- and post-event support to Production, Front of House and Concessions for events on and off site. The position is part time, and the work schedule varies as it is closely tied to The Z event schedule. Hours will include nights and weekends on a regular basis.
The Bar and Concessions Manager oversees the staff and operations of The Z bar and concessions, making sure it is clean, functioning efficiently and profitable. Their main duties include scheduling and overseeing staff, creating an inviting patron experience and ensuring the bar is and well-stocked. The bar manager is expected to work at all performances/events with few exceptions.
The Zeiterion’s internship program provides high school and college students with comprehensive experience working in a non-profit performing arts center. Zeiterion interns can receive training in arts administration in several fields, including development, marketing, education, and patron services.
