The full-time Facilities Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and order of our facility both indoor and out, including but not limited to administrative offices, front and back of house and all managed, operated, or rented facilities by The Z. Night and weekend work may be required.
The Facilities Manager oversees and coordinates the day-to-day maintenance and cleanliness of all managed, operated, or rented facilities by The Z. The Facilities Manager will ensure that the facility complies with public ordinances as well as The Z’s standards for safety and cleanliness. Together with the Director of Production and Facilities, the Facility Manager will work on creating a maintenance program to ensure that The Z is presented in the best light possible and ensuring that we are accessible to everyone in our community. The position is full-time, non-exempt and will include nights and weekends on a regular basis.
The part-time Facilities Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and order of our facility both indoor and out, in addition to providing event support to the Production, Front of House and Concessions Teams for events on both on and off-site, as needed. Work hours for this part-time role vary as the role is closely tied to our event schedule. Hours will include nights and weekends on a regular basis.
The Bar and Concessions Staff provide a genial and proficient patron experience while serving beverages and snacks during performances. Their main duties include assisting the bar manager in setting up and breaking down the bar and concession inventory on show days/nights, serving patrons while creating an inviting patron experience and ensuring accuracy on all cash handling procedures. They should possess a strong interest and knowledge of spirits, cocktails, craft beers and wine.
Event security guards provide protection and aid for attendees at events like conferences and concerts. As a guard, you may patrol the perimeter of the venue with a perceiving eye to protect attendees and prevent unauthorized people from getting inside. You will also provide crowd safety control services inside the venue. Event security guards are typically paid per event and don’t work standard full- or part-time hours. They follow a chain of command and usually have a direct supervisor overseeing the entire event to whom they report.
The Director of Education and Community Engagement develops, implements, administers, and maintains all aspects of an education and community relations programming for the Zeiterion Performing Arts Center (The Z) including but not limited to the Schooltime Performance Series, Teen Ambassador Program, Lights Up Summer Camp, The Z’s Creative Classroom as well as community class offerings and workshops. This position will be responsible for cultivating relationships in the community and creating an education plan, the purpose of which is to better serve our diverse community with meaningful performing arts performances and spaces that are welcoming and accessible to everyone. It is the responsibility of this position to ensure that equity is baked into programming, relationship building, access, and curriculum development.

The Zeiterion’s internship program provides high school and college students with comprehensive experience working in a non-profit performing arts center. Zeiterion interns can receive training in arts administration in several fields, including development, marketing, education, and patron services.
