We're celebrating the kick-off of our On The Road season with a free, outdoor concert by musicians who've been on the road with the world's biggest stars, like Rihanna, Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake!
World renowned guitarist and group creator John “Jubu” Smith had a vision to create a band and sound that touches all genres and age groups; one that is soulful, hip, bluesy, jazzy and popular. Teaming up with brother and bassist, Eric “Pik Funk” Smith, Chris Johnson (drummer), Craig Brockman (organ), Errol Cooney (guitar) and a host of top industry musicians, the group is comprised of the best talent in the industry.
The artists that comprise the band Legally Blynd have the experience and know-how from years as sound designers, co-creators, producers and soulful contributors to many of music’s biggest artists and songs of the past couple of decades:
Jubu Smith – Whitney Houston, Luther Vandross, Boyz II Men, Mary J. Blige
Eric “Pik Funk” Smith – Rihanna, Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Jamie Foxx
Errol Cooney – Stevie Wonder, Janet Jackson, Jamie Foxx
Chris Johnson – Rihanna, Stevie Wonder, Patti LaBelle
Featuring opening acts DJ MikeyLife at 3PM followed by dancers from New Bedford Performing Arts Center!
The performance is in partnership with the Madeira Feast.
We're on the road while the Zeiterion undergoes a major renovation and restoration! The Z will present Legally Blynd at Madeira Field located at 50 Madeira Ave, New Bedford. All shows while we're on the road are cashless; only credit cards will be accepted for on-site concession purchases.
Legally Blynd band members play for world-renown touring artists like Janet Jackson, Rihanna, Stevie Wonder, Jamie Foxx and Camila Cabello.
The Z’s 2021/22 season is on sale to Z Supporters starting July 13. Join our community of supporters and get access before the public on July 27!
