DRUMLine Live is the show-stopping attraction created by the musical team behind the hit movies “Drumline” and “Drumline: A New Beat” - and we're bringing it to NBHS while we're on the road!
Complete with dazzling choreography and an explosive percussion, DRUMLine Live is a thrilling spectacle that pays homage to the show-style marching bands popularized at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). With musical highlights from hip-hop, American soul, gospel, and jazz to name a few, DRUMLine Live blends genres and combines a unique style of drumming, mesmerizing musicianship, and lively choreography to create a production never before seen on stage.
Incorporating original compositions and soul-infused interpretations of top 40 hits, group performances range from colorful, choreographed routines to heavy doses of drum riffs and cadences. With its riveting rhythms, bold beats, and ear grabbing energy, DRUMLine Live is a high-octane musical roller coaster ride for the entire family that will reach every emotion in your body!
Arrive early for NBHS’s Percussion Ensemble pre-show at 3:30 in the lobby! The NBHS Marching Band won 2nd place in overall effect visuals and 3rd place in overall effect music at the New England Scholastic Band Association’s Fall Marching Band Finals. Don’t miss this opportunity to catch them on their home turf!
We're on the road while the Zeiterion undergoes a major renovation and restoration! This performance will be at New Bedford High School, Bronspiegel Auditorium, 230 Hathaway Boulevard, New Bedford.
To complement this performance, The Z has collaborated with the Andrea McCoy Recreation Center, T.R.U.E. Diversity, Domino's, the MLK Day Community Program, Paige L. Jones, WNB One Radio, and Sparrow's Eye to offer a free HBCU College Fair featuring the cast of DRUMLine Live on January 15! Click here for details.
