Come say farewell (for now) to our historic building and celebrate the past and future of The Z before our restoration and renovation.
Join us for an epic dance party on the street outside of the theater, with DJ Anghelli playing the hits through the decades and dance moves taught by talented teaching artists JunnYahh Burnett, Victor Fonseca, Geovanny Sequeira, and Sue Young. We’ll have a live performance by Candida Rose, NBSO String Trio inside on stage, tours of the building, a live mural painting by David Guadalupe, kids' crafts, lawn games, silent auction, food trucks, bar, and more. Plus, a reading by New Bedford's Poet Laureate Sarah Mulvey and a Toast at Twilight!
The free block party will take place on Purchase Street, from School Street to Union Street, rain or shine. Feel free to dress in your favorite decade.
