Accomplished singer/songwriter Colby James has consistently earned an outstanding reputation as one of the area’s hardest working, multi-talented vocalists/guitarists to appear on the live stage!
At an early age, Colby James fell in love with the guitar after hearing his father play. Confident that he began to develop and perfect his own vocal style, he then set out to sharpen his guitar skills until he was ready to play for anyone who would listen. Today, and for the past 16 years, both as a solo artist and as the headliner for his own band, Colby James has been delivering his searing and soulful style to audiences at popular regional venues like the Narrows Center, the Zeiterion Theatre, and the Boston City Winery. In his own humble and grateful words, “I have been blessed to write my own music, make a couple records, play at some of the best dive bars and best listening rooms, and I have been fortunate to have shared the same stage with some of my favorite artists.”
It is now with pleasure that Colby James is proud to introduce his band, The Ramblers. This incredible ensemble of talented musicians features Heather Church, one of the most acclaimed violinists as recognized by her peers and contemporaries. Also joining Colby, lead guitarist Brian DeFusco, whose awe-inspiring technical skill has electrified guitar fans everywhere he has performed. Colby is also proud to introduce, as he has done at hundreds of venues over his career, his inseparable and lifelong friend, percussionist and back up vocalist Jay Pacheco. Jay will create the energy, direction, and drive of the band’s distinctive sound. Finally, returning members of the band, James Raiola (rhythm guitar) and Leigh Gilbert (bass) provide the tempo and beat to showcase the lead talents of Brian, Heather, and Colby James.
Together, as Colby James and The Ramblers, we are very excited to perform for the first time at The Met. We hope you will all join us to listen to and enjoy our own unique sound, style, and brand of original rock ’n’ roll music.
